Humanism in Building

“Humanism in Building” is not only how we engage with and treat others, but it is also our global approach to the significant role physical environments play in our lives. Many of our services, clients and sponsored community programs are based in the areas of health, education, social services, and overall well-being. To us, there is a strong correlation between improving a physical structure and improving the lives of its occupants. We take great pride and dedicate our resources to this synergy between the relationships we foster, our areas of expertise, and peace of mind.

Community Health Improvement Partnership (CHIP) Honoree

In 2015, the Community Health Improvement Partnership of Bergen County honored Brad Ruder at its annual event. This marked the first time that CHIP honored a non-medical professional who contributed to the health and wellness of seniors of Bergen County.

Aging in Place Certification

Brad Ruder has been certified as an Aging in place specialist (“CAPS”) by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). He is one of a select group of professionals nationwide to earn this designation, trained in the skills and knowledge necessary to remodel or modify a home or office to meet every need of our older or disabled population. CAPS program graduates are required to maintain their designation by attending continuing education programs and/or participating in community service projects. For design services, Brad-Core offers a CAPS designer.

The American Institute of Architects (AIA)

Brad Ruder continues his learning in building and design for the aging through his membership in the AIA , where he is involved in their Design for Aging Knowledge Community.

Health, Education, and Social Service Commercial Clients

Many of our commercial membership clients include assisted living facilities, medical professionals and community centers. Facilities directors value our technical expertise as much as the compassion and sensitivity that we bring to maintaining facilities that cater to the health and well-being of others. As an extension of staff, we help take care of their property so they can take care of their business.

“I am a humanist, which means, in part, that I have tried to behave decently without expectations of rewards or punishments after I am dead.”
